asdf AE Stoddart who played for Middlesex and eventually took his own life was seventh out, took six hours and ten minutes and included 1 eight, 3 fives, 64 fours. The 813 took six hours fifteen minutes. 485 was the highest score in all forms of cricket, beating Mr JS Carrick's 419* for West of Scotland v Priory Park in 1885 (later beaten by AEJ Collins 628* in 1899).

A Century later Stoics challenged Hampstead to a rematch under the 1886 Laws. Hampstead declined and Stoics won the match. Keith Miller watched the 1996 match.
