On Sunday with arguably the strongest batting line up we have taken to Follies Farm, the mighty six failed miserably on a pitch of indifferent bounce and usually to second and third string bowlers, 85-6! Tony Harlow rescued the innings assisted by some good blows from debutant Clive Penwarden so Nomads were all out one ball short of the 40 overs for 132. Not a lot!. Tall off spinner Tebbit had the remarkable figures of 8 6 6 5 !

James While bowled admirably and but for a third lbw decision being turned down and Andy Peters failing to hold onto what would have been a great catch should have taken a sixfer and Nomads would have routed the Old Spots, Pink and Black.

As it was Perry and Moore put together a match winning stand which proved sufficent despite a late flurry of wickets for Lamb and Wycherley. Angelo Economou did sterling service behind the bar afterwards and the umpire left his white hat behind.
