It was hoped that  for part  of the tour Lagaan Actor/Cricketers   Chris England, Howard Lee, Jamie Whitby-Coles Jon House, Ray Eves etc would join us.

They never did come despite the efforts of Keith Alexander,Sukumar Pathak and Michael Blumberg and then the herculean machinations of Steve Marians and G Charlton Lamb while on tour!!!

In would have helped if the Doordashan official who agreed   with Vikram Kaul  for our match had not absented himself on annual leave for the fortnight prior to our departure.
