This was a very enjoyable tour though someone picked up the dreaded lurgi at the Rift Valley club and one by one the rest of the party succumbed even Dusty Rhodes on the last night. Overlapping with Nomads on tour were Dean Close School from Cheltenham. They were much worthier visitors than our hedonist tourists!!! Perhaps so? MCC visited a week later and then Turnham Green CC from West London. Nomads has had a strong connection with Uganda so it was most apposite that we came and met again those who had played for us in UK. Nomads made a number of excursions in Uganda as well as playing cricket. Nomads have represented Uganda and filled the posts of President and Secretary of the National Cricket Association and another CEO of the Uganda Sports Council.
