Marshall's match but Oatway & Gleasure take Nomads to win
Brook's innings was almost entirely up to opener J Parr who top scored with 72 before being caught by Maloney off Blumberg with the score at 137. Marshall took a fifer and Blumberg and Gleasure two each to wrap up Brook's innings for 157. This represent somewhat of a recovery from 59-5.
David Oatway's batting was meant for t20 especially since he was also a swift runner between wickets. However he seldom stayed long at the wicket yet on this occassion having lost 'Master Bat' Lamb early he and Russ Mann took the score breezily to 86 whereupon both were out. Nomads lost wickets steadily but John Gleasure from the Gaieties CC held his end reaching 41 before falling to T Johns withe score on 150. Maloney and Sturgess saw Nomads home to a three wicket victory.
Nomads celebrated victory at the Dog and Pheasant afterwards. July 8, 2020 12:58 pm
