Sunday August 17th v Stoics CC

Match Cancelled as Stoics failed to raise a team(last year it was Nomads who could not raise a side)
The team for this match was as follows – Vic Kandampully, Tom Brockton,Narzm Mohammed,Jason Bilimoria, Mark Richards, Pi Marcus-Fernandez, Nikhil Pandya- wkt, Joe Ridley, Vishal Trivedi, Yasin Mohamed, Marcus Coddrington- Fernandez, 12th Man-tbc, Umpire-tbc,Scorer-Michael Blumberg Catering by Vishal Trivedi.
Adjacent to the Cricket Ground there was held a Rolls Royce Owners Rally so we would have had quite a substantial body of spectators. Ascott Park were keen to have a cricket match as the back drop to the Rally and found a local village club willing to play us. However most Nomads had swiftly made alternative arrangements and so we had to decline their kind offer.

Time was when there was a considerable overlap in membership of Nomads and Stoics. The late John Nagenda was a Life Vice President of both clubs, Nomads President Michael Blumberg was a Stoic for six years before joining Nomads. The late legendary Life President of Stoics Gerald Plumbly had been a Nomad and attended Nomads Centenary Dinner in 2003.
