Frederick Pickersgill Memorial XI

Pickersgill was a wandering cricket club with close associations with Nomads so much so there were proposals at one time to merge the two clubs. Most Nomads played for Pickersgill at some time and indeed the two clubs shared the same Hon Treasurer,John Gold.. The two clubs played each other 1972 – 1978.

Pickersgill co founder Michael Sissons and always Fixture Secretary moved the fixture list around from time to time reflecting his out of town residence which changed with each new marriage.

After the club made its finale Richard Kershaw continued with two fixtures, Hurlingham and Hungerford as his XI. The latter then became a Nomads fixture for some years.
