1922-1945

We have a lot of scorecards from the Cricketer Magazine Archive and averages for most years. The fixture list fluctuated over the years. After the tragic catastrophe of WW1 which destroyed half the club’s playing strength the club reconstituted and played the 1922 season. In 1925 the former captain of Northamptonshire Charles JT Pool became Nomads skipper and a number of ex County cricketers played for Nomads. The club annually toured Cambridge and somewhere else in UK including the Channel Isles in 1925.
Thanks to Bobbie Lowe we have two fixture cards from 1927 and 1939 . In 1927 there were about fifty matches but by 1939 just 26 and WW2 cut the season short.
Should perchance anyone have any Nomads memorabilia from this inter war period do let us know.
