Nomads enjoyed a successful season in 1928 lead by former Northants skipper CJT Pool. The club captain was in fine form scoring nearly 800 runs and a century 137. During the season there were three more centuries scored and two Hat Tricks taken. Against Kings & Clare Colleges at Cambridge Nomads posted 319-5 declared and R Cholmely hit 121. AP Powell who had a trial with Middlesex CCC in 1927 also notched up some good scores.

FJ Weeks who has played several times for Gloucestershire CCC took the most wickets (44) including  a Hat trick.

Nomads undertook an East Coast tour playing at Felixstowe, Lowestoff,  Lakenham,  Old Buckenham, Yarmouth, Overstrand and Thorpe.They won all sevem matches and resolved to return in 1929.

The season ended with an exciting match, a Tie with Hampton Wick Royal CC.
