A Premature Declaration

The skipper insisted Nomads needed 300 but the rest of the team argued that we had enough just because Steve Watson and David Hagan were batting brilliantly setting a new club record for any wicket stand and so in the spirit of democracy the Nomads innings was declared after 56 overs. In the event Templars won with 5.3 overs to spare with just five wickets down and the Nomads felt right chumps. Nevertheless they stayed and drank with the victiorous opposition for sometime before setting forth back South!
