Sajjad sevenfer wrecks Northwood’s batting
Despite a spell of very wet weather Nomads travelled to Northwood for the second encounter of the season and triumphed.
Batting first on a damp pitch Nomads Ahmed Elech and Nigel Keess added 118 for the second wicket and Andy Stokes and Nigel added some 78 runs for the 3rd wicket allowing Nomads to declare on 234 -4 in the 41st over. Northwood in reply lost wickets quickly being 25-5 in quick time as Sajjad bowled three batsmen and had the other two caught behind. A bit of stand ended with a run out, 50-6 and then the innings fizzled out for a further 23 runs added.Hamza Sajawal and Nigel keess took a wicket each and the returning Sajjad finished the innings of with two plumb lbws. Ranjit Latchman delivered some Real Ale for the occasion and so Nomads and Northwood lingered long at the bar . This was to be our last UK match of the season thanks to the endless rain that followed and a good way to finish. Recent Matches 1986
