Chris & Chetan take Nomads to win with overs to spare

Barnes Common won the toss and elected to bat on a sunny afternoon. The innings wobbled mid order as 5 wickets fell for 18 runs. A fluent 7th wicket partnership between Hamza Sajawal and Sanjay Beri added 69. The tail kept Sanjay company as a further  78 runs were added but he was left undefeated on 56 with 3.1 overs still to go. Bill Johnson took 4-29.
In reply Nomads started brightly with Andy Peters and Thierry Pascal but it was the 5th wicket partnership of 92 between Christian Laws and Chetan Malhotra that set Nomads en route for victory. Nomads reached their target off 31 overs.
Nomads were joined by a number of supporters not least Nigel Ross.
We drank at a new pub for this fixture studying the river Thames.
