Combined Sporting Alfas/La Manga Torrevieja No Match for Nomads
Another beautiful sunny day but Nomads lost the toss and so Sporting Alfas/La Manga Torrevieja batted first. Perhaps the early rise and drive north to Alfas effected them for they proved a weak line up, bowled out in 25.2 overs .Ross Noll top scored with a patient 27 and Paul Harvey struck a series of boundaries at the tail. Vamsi took four wickets.
After another excellent Tea Nomads replied fluently at 5/6 an over to win in the 19th over. Naman top scored with 50 and was retired.

Nomads Underwhelm in Big Match
It was long planned that Sunday would be Sporting Alfas’ strongest eleven of the weekend. It was thus curious planning that found our two young tyros enjoying a very late night in Benidorm and arriving at the ground extremely groggy . Nevertheless the skipper won the toss and elected to bat. Against some good seam bowling Nomads collapsed with only Nigel Hussey and Johnny Baron reaching 30. It took a tenth wicket partnership between Nav Saeed and Vamsi Sukhavasi of 32 for Nomads to reach he meagre 162 all out off 40 overs……………
