Marshall sixfer sets up Nomads victory

This was the Pope’s Nomads debut. In his own words.

“Turned right into the ground in my old Morris Traveller, narrowly missed by someone trying to overtake at some unsuitable mph who ended up upside down in a ditch.
Not arrested, but left the pitch to be questioned. The court decided it was my fault (‘driving without due care and attention’) but presumably not much my fault as it was a very small fine.
This was pre-Boadicea days, and Marshall showed an interest in my young female defending counsel, giving her a lift from Oxford back to London.”

Marshall replies thus. “All correct. Seem to remember she was nice, although not a good enough lawyer to get you off!
