Webster & Pool take Nomads to victory
Leading Aircraftman Martelli helped RAF to a decent total before succumbing to Fred Weeks’ bowling. Nomads made a disastrous start losing six wickets for precious little but then skipper Charles Pool and Webster put together a significant partnership which took Nomads passed their target and onwards to 216 before stumps. The RAF rank Leading Aircraftman-LAC continued until 2022 when it was replaced by Air Specialist Class 2-AS2. Result: Nomads CC won
