The Hon Sec had added some pretty village clubs to the Fixture List for the purpose of keeping a load of older members involved. In the event none applied and we took more or less a young 1st XI and but three batsmen prospered. We then bowled forest Green out cheaply so the locals were not amused. However we bought many jugs of beer at the Pub and the fixture lasted another year.
