Nomads out gunned hang on to draw

HF Beven held the Mill Hill innings together with the top score 73 but received precious little support until some Spartan resistance from Joannides 31. The latter’s run out precipitated the innings to a quick halt at 173.

Nomads response was feeble against the ‘Greek Fire’ of Joannides who took a sixfer. Nomads innings slide to oblivion was saved by Harland and Williams enabling Nomads to hang on for a draw,9 wickets down and 68 runs short.
