Nomads no match for Garrison’s Firepower
Both sides were rather different from the previous year but the result was just the same. 2nd XI Nomads captain skippered the Nomads and was the only batsman to prosper (32)for a while against the bowling of the two Lieutenants Christian and Cousens. Only three other Nomads reached double figures as Nomads were skittled out for a mere 112. Not a good total in an all day match.
Major Crewdson top scored for the Garrison with 66. Despite decent bowling from Moir and Roome the home side cruised past Nomads total and continued to a total almost double that of the visitors.
It is not known whether the Moirs in both teams were related.
