Fermont Fifty not enough
If only someone had stuck around with David Fermont. On another day Mike Wilkins would have taken a fifer for the batsmen played and missed endlessly. However Wallace and Wheelan had a productive 5th wicket stand which allowed them to declare giving Nomads a potential 39 overs back.
Nomads innings at 62-1 looked to be en route to their target only to suffer a shattering collapse, 6 wickets for 8 runs. All remaining hope lay with Adrian Rose hanging in there with Fermont but after adding 18 runs Rose succumbed to Wheelan. Whereupon Fermont was out at the other end for an accomplished fifty two and then Mathews went for out for a duck, so three wickets for no runs, 88 all out!.
Not Nomads finest hour with the bat and yet a good session was enjoyed at the Richmond Town Club Bar.
