Andrew Penn Century powers Nomads to victory> Nomads used seven bowlers with modest success as The Hill posted 204-5. Bowman top scored for The Hill with sixty and the Hill skipper declared with Jones on 49 not out! James Leahy and Allen Abramson took two wickets each.
In reply Nomads lost Whiteway and Tim Grant early to Edwards but then Andrew Penn in fine form smote the bowling to good effect while Blumberg dug in. These two had added 108 runs before Blumberg was bowled for 41. Robin Symondson briefly sought to match Penn hitting two 6s before miscuing a catch in the deep,156-4. James Doyle joined young Penn and these two struck 51 more runs to win the match. Andrew Penn's outstanding innings of 110 included four 6s and nine 4s.
Both teams then repaired to the Kings Head to consume vast quantities of Fullers' Ales.
David Morton as was his wont in this series of matches between The Hill and Nomads wore a Nomads sleeveless sweater as well as sporting a Nomads tie.
Ian Scott-Kilvert often appeared in this match while on home leave from some exotic spot on British Council business.
