2022

Nomads CC planned a full season in 2022 with a return to our overseas touring. The Winter Nets took place at Lord’s but the Annual Dinner due to be held on February 11th was postponed. The extensive fixture list confirmed unfortunately fell foul of many cancellations especially on Sundays because of pitch unavailability and no opposition. The Shropshire and Dordogne tours were cancelled due to too few Nomads as were two other fixtures, all of which was disappointing. This lead to a somewhat disrupted season. However In general the results have been good as has the number of new and often young cricketers playing for us.

Sadly we lost a former regular Nomad Tony Lycett (an excellent wicket keeper and batsman) and Umpire Brian Wilson who supported Nomads for many decades and toured with us to India, East Africa and France.
