Nomads Bowlers rout Turville

On a beautiful warm day Nomads overwhelmed Turville reversing last year’s result when the home side won. Batting first Stu Reeve fell early on and then Nikhil Pandhya and Thierry Pascal added 128 on a surface where the ball occasionally kept seriously low. Nikhil went serenely on to his first century for Nomads and with cameos from Devam Shah and Rob Jones the Nomads innings reached 229-4 whereupon the declaration was made.

After a superb Tea debutant Kit Penny was soon in the wickets removing the top three and Rob Jones took the fourth leaving Turville 21-4. Skipper Charles Henry and Buckley added 41 but then the innings sunk losing 6 wickets for a mere 7 runs, all out 70. Devam Shah and skipper Andy Penn both took three wickets.

An early finish saw both teams hurry to the Fox and Hounds for a pint or two before returning home.
