Nomads just hang on for draw

 Leigh won the toss and batted first.Nomads took several wickets but then slade joined J Chenery and these two transformed the innings ruining a couple of bowlers figures.When Slade reached his century Leigh declared on 219-4 off 39.3 overs. 

Nomads openers Jeavons and Mann made a steady start but once out a procession followed so that the innings was soon at  61-7 with 20 overs to go. Blumberg and Hammill then added 68 only to both get out on 129 with an over or so to go. Whiteway and Mathews held on for the draw. In hindsight it may have been much better if Whiteway had batted in the top order.
