A Kiwi Triumph

Nomads batted first and despite a Promising stand between Jeavons and Lightfoot over half the side ere out for a mere 74 runs. the innings was then turned round by New Zealanders Matt Duggan and Steve Watson who added 122 for the 7th wicket. Both were out to Wyatt  whereupon Oatway hit some fours and so Nomads reached 210-8 off 40 overs. 31 extras were gratefully received.

Nomads opened with Watson seam and Oatway left arm flighted slows, an enterprising move. Steve Watson had bowled some mean tight spells but this time he swept aside the Putney batting and then finished off the tail Matt Duggan completed the coup de grace bowling out the obdurate Lloyd-Evans.Putney were all out for 102 off 25.1 overs and so it was an early return to the clubhouse bar.

This match replaced the schedule match with Farnborough CC(Kent) as published in the Fixture Card.
