Harry Carr century gives Trinity the game
Nomads top order batters got in but failed to go to a substantial score. Young Powell top scored with 34 and Nomads reached the respectable total of 185. With few of their leading bowlers Nomads were no match for Harry Carr who well supported by CM Andreae ensured victory for Trinity.
None of this Trinity Eleven featured in the Cambridge Lord’s XI v Oxford University in 1928. Harry Carr got blues in Golf and Billiards and did play some 1st class cricket including one game for Glamorgan. He was in RAF intelligence in WW2 but died from complications after an operation in 1944 aged just 35. Charles Andreae won a Blue in 1929.

A fine century from R Cholmeley well supported by GC Williams (86*) took Nomads to the dizzy heights of 319 before declaring. However Nomads left themselves insufficient overs to bowl out the Colleges who had lost six wickets when time ran out.
