A very close shave indeed
Nomads batted first and lost four early wickets before Alston and Jory restored the innings.Jory fell withe score at 75 but Alston carried his bat for 75 not out nd Nomads declared at the modest 126-8 off 62 overs.Dogged stuff!
Leatherhead’s openers took the score to 51 but thereafter the innings crumbled despite useful contributions from Steele and Stollery. Picton -Turberville and Cooper took four wickets apiece the last with just 4 runs to spare.
This was a good finale for the season and Nomads lingered long into the small hours celebrating!
