NOMADS CC 133-9 dec (Barry Miller 42, Peter Quinn 35, Ian Crombie 32) beat MERROW CC 132 by 1 run

Phew! A close finish

Miller and Quinn contributed usefully with th bat but rather slowly. some merry blows from Crombie then helped Nomads to 133-9 whereupon the declaration was made. Astle cleaned bowled several Merrow batsmen only to appeal at the same time and then miraculously Barry Miller bowled the last man in off the final ball of the match.
