Jemile takes out tail

The match seemed to be heading for a draw but then Jemile Al-Darraji took 4-0 so East Herts Cavaliers were out for 133 leaving opener Tennant stranded on 92 not out. Nomads batting first declared on 277-4 off 38 overs. Skipper Brockton returned to form with a ton and retired despite the distraction of a stray dog on the pitch and John Olufawo struck 66 so Nomads won by 144 runs.

While Chris Stride dashed to St Pancras en route for Sheffield both teams lingered despite the chill quaffing several ales as the club bar was open!

There was much discussion concerning young James Hamilton running 30 yards to knock the ball out of Sajjad’s hands.”I called” he asserted……..!
