A wedding on Saturday night at our hotel in Thoiry forced us to an alternative venue for Saturday night only to return for Sunday and a late session at the Thoiry Pizzeria. On Monday we motored to Meudon and stayed at yet another hotel which was not to Charles Fellows-Smith’s liking
Our bowling was not strong yet it was our batting that failed apart from Tom Lascelles on Sunday who hit a robust fifty at the tail to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
