Clancy to the rescue

Nomads were short of front line bowling yet when Australian Clancy removed the top three for 35 Nomads seemed to be in charge. However Wright and Ralston then took the score beyond 150 before Wright fell to Symondson. Ralston then went on the rampage hitting six 6s, four off Symondson and two off Clancy's 10th over. This brought Wright his century and Mary's declared on 218-4 off 37.3 overs.

In response Nomads batting underwhelmed succumbing to 72-7.Clancy and Whiteway then dug in to save the match. Clancy resisted for 69 balls reaching 24 before falling to Marjot in the penultimate over. Whiteway who batted 53 balls for 20 and Peter Mathews took Nomads to a draw.

Since then St Mary's Hospital Medical School has subsumed into Imperial College but the sports ground thankfully survives. If any mature medic ever reads this scorecard and recognizes the names please do supply the correct initials. The logo is the current Imperial one. If anyone has the original St Mary’s do let us know.
