Naman bowls Edgar to give Nomads victory in final over
For the most part the rain held off to give us an exciting finish to the match. Nomads won the toss and batted first .Nilesh and Yasin added 107 for the 2nd wicket before being both retired. Cameos from Simon,Eric and Fayaz took the total to a respecatbe 231 off 46 before Nilesh declared. After an excellent Tea Two Counties replied with intent reaching 82-1 before suffering a mini collapse,115-4 with wickets falling to Simon Rowell. However though wickets fell steadily Two Counties number 9 Simon Edgar lead a late charge towards their target but Naman bowled Edgar on 46 with the score on 220. This left the last pair the task of .making 12 in the final over. Alas for Two Counties Pat miscued a ball from Nilesh only to be caught by Simon Rowell for a duc. Nomads had won by 11 runs.Phew! Following the match the players and officials enjoyed a meal of Fish and Chips. A convivial evening to complement an close game played in good spirit.
