Crawford’s day with a fifer and a century secures 9 wicket win
The Garrison batted first and collapsed to Butler and Crawford. The 8th wicket stand between Portman and Sheppard took the innings total beyond 100, a very modest total
Nomads openers began well and nearly achieved a ten wicket win. However Moss was out for 50 whereupon FK Butler joined Crawford and these two took the score to 182 -1 at the close with Crawford achieving his century. This indeed was a good day out for Crawford! This was his second ton at the Garrison.
The Cricketer magazine publishes Sir H R Shiffner as the Garrison’s number 3vbut this maybe a typo for Sir H B Shiffner
