Run outs don't help
Nomads batted first but wickets fell steadily except for Croomers so much so that Nomads were soon a mere 100-7. Croomers then changed gear but in striving to keep the strike first Tony Clarke was run out and then Croomers ran himself out going for a second run. He had top scored, 56 out of 130.
Nomads opening bowlers bowled tight spells so much so that after 16 overs Leigh had scored 30. However Harris was punished and though Ryder and Croomers then took five wickets Simpson and Curd saw Leigh home to victory in the 41st over.
