Atkinson with the ball and brothers Wedd with the bat prove too good for Nomads
AW Pegrum posted a fifty at the top of the order but for rest apart from two twenties the innings was undistinguished except for Downing’s bowler T Atkinson who recorded a sevenfer.
The brothers Wedd took Downing College past Nomads total whereupon the college suffered somewhat of a collapse with Oscroft taking a fifer but still posted a formidable 250 .

Nomads secure draw 179 short
St John’s batsmen lead by opener Whitaker with a century thrashed Nomads bowlers to declare at the challenging total of 303-4.
Nomads LJ Crook carried his bat for 72 not out but received little support apart from AW Pegrum with 33. At the close Nomads were 179 runs adrift, an indifferent draw.
The Nomads tour was always three matches but we are missing the third match scorecard, whether just lost or a match rained off we do not know.
