Nomads returned to Harpenden on another very warm day, won the toss and elected to bat. Dricoll bowled a mean opening spell 5 3 6 0 and was unlucky to have slip drop catches. Oliver was bowled for 14,1-55. Hamad joined Arnav and these two added 107 in 14 overs before Arnav fell lbw for 88. Casey Chambers failed to add to his big score at Leigh on Sea.Hamad Ahmed retiredon 102 withe score at 240.Joe Purnell and Rob Jones hit five boundaries whereupon James declared the innings closed at 256 off 39.3 overs Despite a very good Tea Harpenden lost wickets early in reply,3-34 and Henry Pollard Beeton followed at 4-50. Tom Beasley and Josh Abbott Chambers,52 and 44 gave the innings some substance but the rest added little preferring to swing merrily rather than dig deep for a draw. Skipper Ben Fagg had injured himself while ‘keeping and batted 11. Harpenden were all out 178 in 34.4 overs. On another fine summer’s evening many of the players lingered enjoying the centurion’s jug and speeches were made welcoming Nomads and thanking Harpenden.
